“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.”

Today’s Scripture passage says, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). Then, what is the life of following the desires of the Holy Spirit that makes us live properly before God after being born again? Living in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit is to make other souls receive the remission of sins by preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit to them. It is the faith of believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit that brings forth the desires of the Holy Spirit to us and make us live in accordance with the lusts of the Holy Spirit.

For this to happen, everyone has to hear the gospel of the water and the Spirit first. God did not make our ears just for our appearances, but He made them for us to listen to the gospel of the water and the Spirit like an antenna catches broadcasting cycles. The utmost purpose of His granting us ears was to make us to believe in that gospel in with our minds. If we believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which is delivered to our minds through our ears, then the desires of the Holy Spirit will be provoked.

However, even people who are born again seem to catch the broadcasting wave of the lusts of the flesh more than the desires of the Holy Spirit. It is frequent to miss the desires of the Holy Spirit when they arise, because we are spiritually insensible. That is why we have to hold onto the desires of the Holy Spirit that arise in our mind. And we should not miss the desires of the Holy Spirit if they are once conveyed, and we have to follow them with the faith.

In fact, a good life of faith is full of the desires of the Holy Spirit. We think everyday of how to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to the people all over the world. I am happy to save a soul by preaching the gospel, however, sometimes I think about how I can preach the gospel not to only one soul, but to all the souls around the world, and I began to think about what is needed to do that. So, I came to think hard about the need of the leaflets, the gospel books, and the gospel meetings. Like this, those who follow the desires of the Holy Spirit do whatever works they have to do to spread the gospel. The righteous have to live hard in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit to spread the true gospel by publishing the gospel books, and preaching the Word by holding the gospel meetings. If you do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit and follow the lusts of the flesh instead, you will be the people of the flesh, but if you hold fast onto the desires of the Holy Spirit and follow them, you will be the gospel preachers who allow the souls to be saved.

Are the desires of the Holy Spirit arising in your mind? Do you hold onto them if they arise? We have to respect the will of the Holy Spirit. “To whom am I going to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit today? Which souls am I going to preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to and who will receive the salvation today?” You have to have these desires of the Holy Spirit, and in fact you have to live in accordance with such desires.

The reason that I am training you in this mission school is for you to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, who wants us to save each and every soul. You do not learn preaching skills or methods of conveying knowledge in our mission school. We are administering the mission school to follow, serve, and fulfill the desires of the Holy Spirit. In other words, we run our mission school to save the souls, to preach the gospel, and to follow the spiritual desires of the Holy Spirit.

The Apostle Paul professed that he was a righteous man and said, “For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself’” (Galatians 5:13-14).

Following this passage that you shall love your neighbor as yourself, we have to live a life preaching the gospel to the souls who have not been able to listen to the gospel of the water and the Spirit yet. This is exactly to walk with the desires of the Holy Spirit.

Then Paul said, “But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another! I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:15-16).

If we live this world by serving God’s gospel of the water and the Spirit first, we would not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. However, if we do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, we would come to follow the lusts of the flesh and fulfill them. Hence, we have to live a life following the desires of the Holy Spirit with the faith of believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

If we do spiritual works first, the lusts of our flesh will disappear naturally. I mean to say that if we do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, we have to follow the lusts of the flesh. If we, the believers of the gospel of the water and the Spirit follow the lusts of the flesh, we would come to throw away all spiritual things. The reason why people do not unite with God’s Church even after being born again is because they follow the lusts of the flesh instead of following the desires of the Holy Spirit. The desires of the Holy Spirit lead us to follow the gospel of the water and the Spirit and to unite with God’s Church.

Today’s Scripture passage is talking about the lusts of the flesh and the desires of the Holy Spirit. This book of Galatians talks about God’s gospel, which is the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and also mentions that we have to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul said in Galatians that following the desires of the Holy Spirit is to serve the gospel of the water and the Spirit.

If we do not follow the will of the Holy Spirit, our lives of faith will end entirely. We always have two kinds of desires. If we follow the desires of the Holy Spirit first, we would not fulfill the desires of the flesh naturally. If we follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, we come to devote ourselves to the preaching of the gospel to souls, and if we keep on preaching the gospel, our life of following the lusts of the flesh will end, therefore we come to live spiritual lives. That is why Paul tells us to walk in the Spirit.

What does it mean for us to walk in the Spirit? Now, let us think about what we are doing. Now we are serving the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and praying for the spread of the gospel. Even if it is hard for us to live for the spreading of the gospel with all our strength, we live our spiritual lives trying to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit with keen minds. We can follow the lusts of the flesh even now while we are attending the worship service. You may feel the powerful urge to sleep and you somehow want to satisfy that greed. But you can sleep at night or some other time. If you sleep during worship time, you would not be able to listen to the Word, so your soul wishes for you to be awake and listen. It is because there are desires of the Holy Spirit in you and me. And we want to obey God’s Word that tells us to meet the desires of the Holy Spirit. We do so because we want to get true satisfaction by satisfying the desires of the Holy Spirit.

My fellow believers, you may experience the wish to serve the Lord and preach the gospel. But, if you ignore that desire, then you will find that all such desires of the Spirit will disappear and your mind will soon be filled with the lusts of the flesh. Try to hold onto the desires of the Holy Spirit at that time. Then, the lusts of the flesh cannot come near to us. The minds of the people who are born again are like sponges, so they are soaked with whatever they touch. If your mind follows the lusts of the flesh, it will be entirely soaked with the lusts of the flesh, and if your mind follows the desires of the Holy Spirit, it will be soaked entirely with the desires of the Holy Spirit. If you preach the gospel in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit, and serve, support, and preach the gospel personally, then you will be soaked entirely with those righteous works and there will be no space in your mind for the lusts of the flesh to enter. If not, you will be soaked entirely with flesh if you work for the flesh, like a sponge soaks up water.

We have to know that our minds will be soaked entirely with what our desires follow and which works we are interested in, therefore we have to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. The Lord said, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself” (Matthew 19:19). We have to use even our last strength to save the souls so that all the souls can listen to the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and we must follow the desires of the Holy Spirit without rest. When I go out to evangelize, I find that so many things are needed. I cannot even count the things needed to prepare to serve the gospel of the water and the Spirit. How many things are needed to save a soul? Our voices, our materials, our time, our efforts and devotions, and so on.

Do you think that it is possible for us to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit until the end? If we follow the desires of the Holy Spirit constantly, we can live with faith until the end. We have to live in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit that He gives in our minds. We have to live in accordance with His holy desires. I say to our mission school students, workers, brothers, and sisters to live in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit first of all. By doing so, you can live a good spiritual life.

We have to discern the desires of the Holy Spirit. We must not throw away all our desires, but we have to hold on to the desires of the Holy Spirit by discerning them. If we cast away both kinds of desires, we will be like fools, so we have to keep at least one, and that is only the desires of the Holy Spirit. The Lord said, “Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect” (Matthew 5:48). People who have the desires of the Holy Spirit are the perfect ones. God cleansed all the souls from the sins with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. And He asked us, “For I am the LORD your God. You shall therefore consecrate yourselves, and you shall be holy; for I am holy” (Leviticus 11:44). We can be holy by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and we can be perfect before God by following the desires of the Holy Spirit.

One day, I saw spectacular scenery in the God-given dazzling sunlight. It was a fountain that was raising the water so powerfully that it was spreading white water drops. Seeing this, I wished, “How I wish the gospel of the water and the Spirit was like that fountain, so that the baptism of Jesus and His blood would win the souls all over the world and can make sounds in them.” When the water went up and fell from the fountain, it was not only a spout of the water. It was so wonderful to see the combination of the presentation of the water drops that there were differences in the speed of the water, so the spout went up first, hit the other spout coming up, and the water drops hit, flowing, splashing, and rising. Each drop made beautiful scenery altogether. I wished, “Oh, how I wish the gospel of Jesus’ baptism and His Cross would cover the whole world beautifully like that.” I thought, “How can I cover this whole world with the gospel of the water and the Spirit by spreading it to all the people around the world?”

There are two kinds of desires in the hearts of the born-again: Whether a born-again person will be a servant of God or a servant of the world will be decided according to which desire he is going to follow. It is really an important lesson. The Apostle Paul realized this and said, “Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” We, the born-again also have to realize this as the Apostle Paul has realized. “Walk in the Spirit. Have the desires of the Holy Spirit. And you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.” This is the truth that all the born-again have to perceive.

We must have the desires of the Holy Spirit. If we do not have the desires of the Holy Spirit, we cannot but live a futile life of faith. If a person who was born again by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit does not have the desires of the Holy Spirit, he is no more than a man of the flesh. If a righteous man really does not have the desires of the Holy Spirit, he is nothing. It is only right for us to have the desires of the Holy Spirit. We have to have these desires: Our brothers have to have the desires of the Holy Spirit, our sisters have to have the same desires, and I too must have such desires of the Holy Spirit as well. Those who do not have the desires of the Holy Spirit are the people of the flesh. Those who do not have the desires of the Holy Spirit are the servants of Satan.

The desire of the Holy Spirit is to try to save the souls who are not born again by preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit to them. And it is fulfilling the Word, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” It is worthy for us to have a desire to help all the souls receive the remission of sins. Because the Holy Spirit provokes us to do the works of God, we think, worry, work, and give efforts by thinking, “How can I be beneficial for the spread of the gospel?”

But people who have not been born again yet because they did not believe in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, live only following the lusts of their flesh. It is likewise for the pastors and believers who are not born again yet. They just have the lusts of the flesh and not the desires of the Holy Spirit. Those who have the desires of the Holy Spirit preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit. And they serve the gospel of the water and the Spirit to save the souls, lead them with the Holy Spirit, and teach them the true life of faith. And they bear the fruit of the Spirit, such as love, gentleness, peace, and longsuffering because they live in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit. They also devote themselves to the salvation of souls. To do that, they have to sacrifice themselves, endure the hardships they face, and have patience for the lost souls.

But, what about the people who do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit? They feel satisfaction with things such as having a population of 1,500 people in their church and the amount of money they get for offerings. It is because their purpose of life is not to save the lost souls, but to live only for their flesh boasting and satisfying it.

People who are born again with the gospel of the water and the Spirit must have the desires of the Holy Spirit. It is written, “Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death” (James 1:15). When the desire of the flesh is conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is full-grown, it brings forth death. On the contrary, when the desire of the Holy Spirit is conceived, all the souls receive salvation, and when they receive the salvation, they get eternal life. The desire of the Holy Spirit is essential to all of us.

Once, I thought all kinds of desires were bad because I had been taught so. Especially since I was young, I have kept in my mind the saying, “Look at gold as you look at a stone.” So, I didn’t forget until this age. I determined myself to keep this proverb, saying, “Even if I see a lump of gold on the street, I won’t pick it up. If I take it, my mind will be wicked and I will be an evil man.” I tried not to have any kinds of desire because I had this in my mind. But, I found that there were some desires I should have while I was reading the Bible after receiving the remission of sins. Those are called the desires of the Holy Spirit. God gave us the desires of the Holy Spirit and He told us to live in accordance with them.

At first after receiving the remission of sins, people follow very well as the Church leads because they do not know everything. They just follow as God’s Church asks without even a desire of the Holy Spirit. But if you want to live a worker’s life, proceeding to the next step, you have to acknowledge the desires of the Holy Spirit and follow them voluntarily. Then, you will become a faithful servant of God, who says, “I wish the souls to be saved. I should prepare this and that to save the souls. I don’t care what people say to me, if the gospel of the water and the Spirit is preached to every soul. I really thank God that I have this desire of the Holy Spirit after receiving the remission of sins.”

When we have such spiritual desires in our minds, we should not just get rid of those desires. We must not get rid of the desires of the Holy Spirit. If we get rid of them clearly when they arise, then we come to have nothing. So, the Bible says, “Do not quench the Spirit” (1 Thessalonians 5:19). The desire of the Holy Spirit does not harm you but it gives you spiritual benefits. Therefore, whenever the desire of the Holy Spirit arises, we have to follow at once and voluntarily. If you have a desire to preach the gospel, preach the gospel with your whole heart, and if you want to serve the gospel, just serve the gospel to your heart’s content. We serve the Lord in various ways; we sometimes plan to give material offering and wish to offer more. What do you do if this kind of desire arises? You are getting rid of the desire of the Holy Spirit if you push down this desire, or you just caste away this desire by saying, “No. I can’t allow this.”

When the Holy Spirit in you provokes you to serve the Lord, you have to follow the desire of the Holy Spirit simply and just serve Him faithfully, and then you will bear lots of spiritual fruit. When the mind of wishing to preach the gospel arises, just go and preach; and when you wish to serve God by totally being His worker, then live your life by being one of His workers; and if you wish to serve Him in whatever position you may be entrusted with, then just do it. This is following the desires of the Holy Spirit.

There are so many times we really ignore the desires of the Holy Spirit. We are very slow and reluctant to know, feel, and follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. I mean to say that God gives us some kind of desire, but we are very slow in following that. Perhaps, when you follow the desire of the Holy Spirit, don’t you have a tendency to follow it at the last moment powerlessly? It takes a very long time to follow even one work if you are reluctant to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. If you follow it closely and do it fast, then you will finish the task fast, and proceed to the next desire and fulfill it. You can move forward fast by doing so. But how tantalizing would the Lord feel watching us, if we were reluctant to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit? The Lord said, “So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth” (Revelation 3:16). The Lord really dislikes being lukewarm.

We can know about the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit is in our minds. The Holy Spirit gives His desires to us. Put differently, the Holy Spirit comes only to the people who are born again by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit, and God gives the desire of the Holy Spirit to those in whom the Holy Spirit dwells. Therefore, only those who are born again by believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit wish to serve God, and wish to preach the gospel, and they can follow the desires of the Holy Spirit to their hearts’ content.

If the followers of the Holy Spirit try to work with the people who do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, the non-Christians would lose their temper, get angry, and explode with anger. How can the people who are supposed to follow the will of God move forward even a step vigorously when they do not follow the Holy Spirit? It is a pressure for me as the leader because I cannot just leave them all behind and advance, just with the followers, for that reason. Moses, while leading the Israelites in the wilderness to the Promised Land, didn’t tell those who remained behind, “Decide whether you want to follow or not.” The leader Moses had to lead them also.

When Moses said, “Jehovah gave us the Land of Canaan, let’s go!” there were people who followed him murmuring. They used to follow him from a distance. And further more, they started to complain, “Damn, is he going to let us die of hunger in the wilderness? Did he bring us to this desert to bury us here because there is no space in Egypt?” The people who followed by experiencing wonders and miracles advanced with Moses quickly and praised God, but the people who followed reluctantly from afar always spoke ill of Him and their leader Moses. What kind of people are you? You have to follow the servant of God and follow quickly the way he goes.

If I really had made up my mind to do it according to my temper, I would have done all the works by myself alone. In fact, there are many dictatorial aspects in God’s work. It is because God is the fundamental Dictator. God said that He is the only God, the only One to be served, the only Savior, and the only Almighty One, and the only One to be worshiped. As God has saved us and created us out of His will, He also does everything according to His will. He shows His invisible attributes and eternal power through His servants. So, if someone says that God’s Church is like a dictatorship, then I say, “Did you realize that just now? As God is the Dictator, God’s Church is a fundamental dictatorship! The one under the Dictator is also a dictator naturally. And he is the true leader who follows only the desires of the Holy Spirit, and who does not accept any other things aside from the desires of the Holy Spirit.”

Now, let us follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. You have to follow some kind of spiritual desire, which God gives in your mind. Don't quench the desires of the Holy Spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:19), but rather you have to follow them. God said, “But if you bite and devour one another, beware lest you be consumed by one another!” (Galatians 5:15) We will fall into such a situation if we do not follow the desires of the Holy Spirit. If you have no intention of spreading the gospel of the water and the Spirit; if you are not concerned over the work of saving souls; if you are busy on exalting yourself saying I am better that you; if you are disturbing the spread of the gospel; and if you scheme to ostracize people from God’s Church,—these acts are opposing the Holy Spirit and following the lust of the flesh—you will surely be destroyed.

Various religions and worldly things do not just leave us, who believe in the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit. They stimulate the lusts of the flesh. We are weak in flesh even though we do not seek the lust of the flesh, but the world keeps on tempting us very much. I wish for you not to disallow the things tempting you.

We call the leaders of the religions of the world as the mighty hunters (Genesis 10:9). Hunters should shoot the animals, but the mighty hunters hunt the souls of men. They are very unique hunters and the servants of Satan. They oppose the preachers of the gospel; they are the followers of the lusts of the flesh who disturb the work of preaching the gospel.

If a person preaches the gospel of the water and the Spirit, he should be respected. There is nothing worthier than preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit to us. There is no works more worthy and beautiful than preaching the gospel of the water and the Spirit before God. Even if a minister preacher very well, he is not more precious than the preacher of the gospel of the water and the Spirit. If a minister preaches other sermons very well but he cannot preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit, then he cannot be called a true preacher. There are many zealous preachers in the world, but there are few people who can preach the Truth of the remission of sins with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. There are many people who preach false messages because they do not know what is precious, and what is the will of the Lord. The will of God is to follow the Holy Spirit and His desires; it is not permissible to harm the preachers of the gospel of the water and the Spirit and fight each other for nothing everyday because of the ignorance of God’s will. You must not harm the preachers of the gospel of the water and the Spirit; rather, you have to respect them.

We have to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit if we don’t want to follow and fulfill the lusts of the flesh. If we follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, we cannot fulfill the lusts of the flesh naturally, because these two are incompatible with each other. If you go out to evangelize at lunchtime, can you nap at that time? You cannot do both things. It is logical that if you follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, you cannot follow the lusts of the flesh. As you cannot sleep, preach, and commit sins all together at the same time, if you follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, the lusts of the flesh disappear naturally. We cannot win against the lusts of the flesh by our determination, saying, “I will win against the lusts of the flesh.” But, it is the case if we follow the desires of the Holy Spirit because then we would not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. If you follow the desires of the Holy Spirit, the lusts of the flesh cannot work at all. The desires of the Holy Spirit win because of the absence of the opponent. As the challenger wins the championship due to the opponent’s withdrawal from a boxing contest, if we work hard for God and serve the gospel, our desires from the Holy Spirit will win against the lusts of our flesh because we don’t have time to fulfill the lust of the flesh.

If you go out to evangelize, then how can you stay at a coffee shop? If you are working to earn money to serve the gospel, how can you go watch a movie? It is so hard for you to quickly proofread the manuscript of a new mission book, how can you go fishing every weekend? You are going to give up the lust of the flesh because you do not have time for that. You already win against the flesh naturally because you can’t do the works of the flesh.

Therefore, we have to encourage the desires of the Holy Spirit by following them. You have to increase your desires thinking, “I am serving the Lord this much now, but I want to serve the Lord greater and greater.”

I have lots of desires of the Holy Spirit. I want to do so many things but I can’t quickly do all the things the Holy Spirit provokes me to do. I say always that publishing a lot of mission books for evangelism is also a desire of the Holy Spirit. But how can I publish many kinds of books? If we encourage and stimulate the desires of the Holy Spirit, it is not impossible to prepare money for that, and it is not impossible to publish books in various languages of all over the world. Then, the day of coming of the Lord is getting nearer.

We have published almost 170 titles of books in various languages at this point. We have spent a lot of money and time for that. These are the products of the desires of the Holy Spirit. Establishing churches are also the products of the desires of the Holy Spirit. We were thinking of how we could establish churches throughout the country, but we have established them according to the desires of the Holy Spirit. We had a desire to let the souls there receive the salvation; so we planned and established the churches. It was also the desire of the Holy Spirit to send missionaries to China because we wished to save the souls in China.

It is also the desire of the Holy Spirit that we are willing to preach the gospel all over the world. As the Lord said, “You shall be witnesses to Me to the end of the earth” (Acts1:8), our God wants all people to be saved from sin. God also says that He desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the Truth (1 Timothy 2:4). As such, knowing and following God’s mind is the first step to follow the desire of the Holy Spirit Therefore, we must not have fleshly desires; we must have spiritual desires instead.

We have launched the world mission recently. However, our activities have been growing bigger; more than any other mission organization. I do not boast about the size of our organization, but I am telling you that we are able to fulfill the desires of the Holy Spirit because we have followed them. There has been no development in the other Christian bodies for a long time because there was no gospel of the water and the Spirit.

Within a few more years, we will cover the entire world with the gospel of the water and the Spirit. This will surely be fulfilled because this is the desire of the Holy Spirit. Unlike the churches in the world that do not have workers from God and cannot be administered in Truth, we will fulfill the will of God by following the desires of the Holy Spirit because we have vivid desires of the Holy Spirit, through our belief in the Truth of the water and the Spirit.

We really want to preach the gospel Truth of the water and the Spirit, and have preached it. And I also hope and pray that every person in my country would accept this gospel of the water and the Spirit without exception. Like the rain falls from heaven and gets the land wet and all the creatures are refreshed because of the rain, we will preach the gospel of the water and the Spirit to the whole world, so that everybody can listen to this gospel at least once. I hope all the people who are eager to be saved would receive the remission of all their sins. We have the hopes of wishing for all the people around the world to be saved from their sins. We do not want to lose even a soul. I want all of them to listen to the gospel of the water and the Spirit. I have this desire.

We have to live following the desires of the Holy Spirit. People will end up perishing if they do not live following the desires of the Holy Spirit and live following the lusts of the flesh instead.

When we built the Training Center, we were in need of some money to complete the construction. But, we prayed to God to give us a great amount of money, about 30 million US dollars, for the spread of the gospel. I should have asked God for more money. However, my co-workers told me that they were wondering about my prayers because we didn’t get the money to even complete the Training Center. So, they wondered how we could get that much money. But, God has sufficiently given us materials whenever we were in need of them.

We really have to have spiritual desires. We have to have the desires of the Holy Spirit. We have to live with them. We have to live following the desires of the Holy Spirit, not seek futile glory, and not fight for obtaining higher levels of the flesh. We truly have to live with the faith of believing in the gospel of the water and the Spirit. We really have to walk according to the desires of the Holy Spirit. It is precious and beautiful for us to live according to the desires of the Holy Spirit. We owe this grace that God gave us. The Apostle Paul is saying that we have to follow the desires of the Holy Spirit.

We are having classes in our mission school. The reason for attending this course is to live following the desires of the Holy Spirit. And we are now living in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit. All our workers are laboring to earn money for the spread of the gospel. They are offering their hard-earned money to God’s Church to fulfill the desire of the Holy Spirit. If we only relied on the offerings for the mission and did not follow the policy of the “tent-making mission,” do you think that the gospel of the water and the Spirit could be preached this much? No, it could never be possible. The Christians today do not offer much because it is hard for them to even sustain their lives. If a person is not a full-time worker of God, there can be limitations in his contribution because he offers the rest after he supports his household. So, if we only rely on offerings, we cannot do anything. Therefore we, the ministers earn money by ourselves.

If the ministers earn and offer their hard-earned money for the mission, there is always lots of money. But the reason there is none left is because we used it all to save the souls and to fulfill the desires of the Holy Spirit. In fact, the more we seek the desires of the Holy Spirit, the more money we come to make. We do not live for the purpose of building big churches; God allows us enough materials. We have to establish the churches in our country, and we have to preach the gospel to the souls abroad. It means everything to our lives to live providing the needs of the souls.

There is an Oriental proverb, saying, “Thorns grow in my mouth if I don’t read a book every day.” Like this, we will get sick physically and spiritually if we do not work for God even for one day. If this is the case, it is no fun to live on this earth. Whatever we do, it is fun when we work for God. It is fun if we publish mission books or earn money to spread the gospel, but if we just live for the flesh, there is no appetite to live. If the righteous man lives only for the flesh, the Holy Spirit in us does not please it. Hence, let us live in accordance with the desires of the Holy Spirit.

People who are born again with the water and the Spirit have to live following the desires of the Holy Spirit.
